Essay About Novels Hatchet and Forbidden city
The novels Hatchet and Forbidden City can be compared easily because they describe stories of teenagers facing conflict and struggle. The similarities and differences between both books are the shown in the conflicts between the main characters and themselves, their familes, nature and society. By examining these problems in ecah novel one can see that they both deal with the overall topic of teenagers coming of age and creating their own identity through challenges and difficulties.
In the novels Hatchet and Forbidden City , the similarities and are within the conflicts of families Alex and Brian are in divorced families. Another similarity is that they are both angry and upset about it. Brian is upset when he sees his mom cheating on his dad,"........ his mother sitting with the man, ......... the white blond man ..... "(Hatchet, Pg.30) Because alex was a little older so it was easy for him to handle the situation. "he would never feel the same about food" (Pg.34 Hatchet)
Secondly, the diiferences between the novels is the conflict between Alex is in a new country and he doesn't know the lanuguage and also doesn't know where to go and hes all allone now. Brian was in a different place also and didn't know where to find food and to stay in. Alex is having problems with what to do because he alone and in danger. Brian is having a hard time finding something eat and making a home.
Finally, the similarities and differences between the two main character's struggle for identity are the challenges they face. First of all, Alex got shot and he lost his dad, but he escapes the city with disguised and by his friends help. Brian almost blinded, crashed with the plane and got attacked by a moose and got in a fight with a bear, sick and mosquitoes were bugging him but he still survived frow the wildness.
In cinclusion, the two novels Hatchet and Forbidden City share some differences and similarities about the struggles of teenagers to face challenges and mature. The novels show alex and brian became better people. Because appreciating there life because they learned a lot from they seen and been in, alex knows that war is a very bad thing. Brian appreciates the life he has and the house he lives in. Alex and Brian became better people.

Movie Reveiw Coach carter
Coach Carter
The movie coach carter is about a coach that comes to a new school and he coachs basketball and the old coach for this is quiting because the students don't listen,fight and don't play as a team. So the new coach name carter was going to coach this team. so coach carter coached this and made them work hard and he yells at them when they do some worng or don't listen him. He tried so hard to made them be come good annd better players and when they all became better player they became better people and don't do bad things anymore. After the basketball season was over the student thank coach carter and they all want to school one of them got shot but they all change and coach carter was happy for them.
I think this movie is for students that enjoy basketball but at the same time for students that don't listen and don't do there work in class. I like this movie because it's base on a true story and a lot of these things they talk about could happene to anyone that is in a basketball team , a soccer team in any team this could happene so for people that like to basketball and they think they can do what ever they want they can't your going to have to work hard and not get in trouble. That what thsi movie is for. THANK YOU

I Think that Notre Dame High School and the city of Ottawa can help the E.S.L by giving them more when they need it , take them to trips and other intersesting things that could help and make them learn new things like skiing, playing different sports. The city of ottawa can help the E.S.L show them around and provide free engilsh classes for them to learn and speak engilsh well.

Hi my name is Kur and I have one little sister. I am in gr.9 and I'm15 years.
My favourite music is hip hop , rap and R&B. My interests are i like to play soccer and basketball. My favourite food is sudan food and it's call sombosow. it's very good and i like it.
My favourite movies are Rush hour 1,2 and 3 and Alvin and the Chipmunks" and Friday.
My future goals is to be come something that will make my family happy like and ploit or a basketball player and help the people that need help in the world...
